I’ve spent over 11 years teaching in primary schools, working with children of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles. Over the years, I’ve taught everything from early reading and phonics to maths problem-solving and creative writing, and I’ve absolutely loved every single bit of it. What excites me most about teaching is helping children see that learning doesn’t have to feel like a chore — it can be fun, interactive, and deeply rewarding when approached in the right way.
My teaching style is relaxed, patient, and highly interactive. I don’t believe in standing at the front and talking at children — I work with them. Every lesson is carefully tailored to the child’s pace, personality, and interests, so they feel confident and fully engaged throughout. I aim to make lessons lively and relatable, using examples, stories, and activities that spark curiosity and make abstract ideas easier to understand.
Online lessons are no different — I make a point of creating a warm, welcoming, and personal environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. I like to bring real-life experiences and perspectives into learning, making concepts feel relevant and exciting, while encouraging independent thinking and problem-solving.
Seeing children grow in confidence, take pride in their achievements, and develop a genuine love of learning is what makes teaching so rewarding. My goal is always to make lessons enjoyable, inspiring, and memorable, so learning becomes something they want to do, not just have to do.
I hope I am able to share this with you!
