Joanna Denning

I am a Fine Art Student going into my third year of degree, I am interested in inspiring creativity and teaching practical and written skills. I have studied Art, Textiles and Religious Studies at A-Level and am now thoroughly enjoying my degree in Fine Art. I believe that everyone has creative potential and am committed to helping students to learn both the practical and critical skills to achieve this.

My teaching will be tailored to the ambitions and needs of my students, whether that is someone who wants specific help with a particular skill or tutoring GCSE and A-Level students. Having recently completed both GCSE and A-Level Art (A*) (as well as an A-level in Textiles) I am aware of the requirements needed to achieve highly in these qualifications. I can help with both practical and written work that is required for this level of study, having completed and achieved highly in essays myself at university.

I have experience with a wide range of mediums including drawing and painting as well as some digital skills. My personal art practice mainly focusses on sculpture and installation which require a diverse skill set from the thinking and designing stage all the way through to engineering, building and audience experience. I also crochet, make clothes and do DIY and woodworking projects in my spare time and am open to helping those wanting to learn these kind of skills too. Whatever you want to learn and however you would like to be taught, I will endeavour to teach you!
