I am an experienced and passionate Art and Design Technology teacher with 18+ years in secondary education across London and the South East. Holding a PGCE in Design & Technology with QTS from Goldsmiths, I have taught across KS3-KS5 as well as adults, in diverse settings, from performing arts academies to comprehensive schools, delivering Art, Design Technology, Textiles, Graphics, Product Design, and Creative Photography.

What distinguishes my teaching is the combination of extensive classroom experience with active professional creative practice as a freelance artist and designer. I don't just teach art and design, I live it, ensuring my lessons remain current and grounded in real-world industry practice.

My teaching philosophy centres on unlocking every student's creative potential through a supportive, student-focused environment. I seamlessly integrate traditional techniques with modern digital skills including CAD/CAM and digital art software, preparing students for both academic success and creative careers. As an RD1st Accredited Person-Centred Coach, I prioritise student wellbeing alongside technical development.

My methods emphasise hands-on, practical learning with live demonstrations, differentiated instruction tailored to individual needs, and comprehensive portfolio development. I guide students through the complete creative journey from concept to completion, developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. With proven experience in GCSE and A-Level moderation, BTEC assessment, and successful intervention strategies, I consistently support students in exceeding their target grades.
