I am English born and bred. I have “O” Levels in English language and literature, and a Degree in Humanities. I also have NVQs in several mental health courses and autism. I have met and worked with many people over the years, of all differing levels of learning, and I thrive on finding ways of making what I am teaching work for the individual involved.
I have been teaching and delivering presentations for over 20 years, and I am always looking for interesting but simple ways to teach people and to take the stress out of learning.
I speak very basic German and French, but no other languages at present. I’m confident any initial language barriers will be easily overcome.
I am patient and sympathetic towards those who have difficulties learning, maybe because I remember how hard I found Maths and how much I appreciated the extra time my teacher gave me.
Adjustments can be made for those with disabilities. The majority of my teaching will be done online but I am happy to attend a student’s home, if needs be.
I will tailor my lessons to the individual, I will have a chat with each person to assess exactly what they are looking for and discuss the best way to achieve this. I can adapt with power point presentations, pictures, one to one, whatever suits the individual best.
I’m also happy to teach small groups of people.
