Jo Barnfield

I am an Art and Design Higher Education lecturer and practice-based researcher with experience supporting students across a range of creative disciplines. My teaching combines practical skills, critical thinking, and individual guidance to help learners develop confidence in their creative practice.

My lessons are aimed at students of all levels, from beginners exploring art and design for the first time to university applicants, undergraduate students, and adult learners looking to strengthen their skills or develop their portfolios. I tailor each session to the individual's goals, whether that's improving technical ability, preparing for assessments or interviews, refining creative projects, or building confidence in their own artistic voice.
