My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. I begin by identifying strengths, gaps in understanding, and specific goals, whether that is improving confidence, mastering key topics, or achieving a target grade in GCSE Maths.
Each session typically starts with a short recap of previous material to reinforce retention. I then introduce the main topic in clear, manageable steps, breaking complex concepts into simple explanations. I use worked examples to model problem-solving techniques, followed by guided practice where we solve questions together. As confidence builds, students complete independent exam-style questions to apply their understanding under realistic conditions.
I place strong emphasis on developing deep understanding rather than memorisation. I encourage students to explain their reasoning aloud, as this strengthens logical thinking and highlights any misconceptions early. Where helpful, I use diagrams, visual methods, and real-world examples to make abstract topics more intuitive.
Having a background in Mechanical Engineering, I bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills to my teaching. I am patient, adaptable, and able to present the same concept in different ways until it clicks. My goal is not only to improve grades, but to help students feel confident, capable, and calm when approaching maths questions in exams and beyond.
