I take a friendly, practical approach to tutoring. Lessons are focused on helping students improve essays, structure arguments, and develop effective study skills. Sessions are flexible and tailored to the student’s individual needs, whether that means working through an assignment brief, improving an existing draft, or talking through ideas to build confidence. Lessons can include reviewing work in advance or providing real-time guidance during the session. My aim is always to make learning feel clear, manageable, and supportive, particularly for students who may feel overwhelmed or unsure where to start.
I have a BA (Hons) and am currently completing a Masters in Archaeology and Heritage. I support students from GCSE to undergraduate level, with a particular focus on essay clarity, research skills, and assignment guidance. In English Language, I help GCSE and A-Level students improve essay structure, clarity, and argument development. Rather than relying on rigid lesson plans, I focus on helping students understand what is being asked of them and how to approach tasks step by step. I explain concepts clearly and simply, helping students feel more confident in tackling academic work independently.
I have extensive experience coaching and guiding students and young adults, even though I have not formally taught in a classroom setting. I also have professional experience in technical customer service, which strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, listen carefully, and adapt explanations for different levels of understanding. I enjoy working with young people and supporting them to build confidence, improve their writing, and develop practical study skills they can use beyond individual lessons.
