Jichuan Guo

I am a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Anatomy) graduate from the University of Aberdeen and an alumnus of Alice Smith School. I offer tutoring in Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry for students of all levels up to pre-university (IGCSE, SPM, IB, and A-Levels). My approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts and equations into simple, digestible components, making learning clear, structured, and accessible for students of varying abilities.

With over two years of teaching experience, I have worked with both Scottish and English students through online platforms during my university studies. Additionally, I have in-person tutoring experience across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, and Ellon, supporting students in achieving their academic goals.

Academically, I earned 9 A*s at IGCSE, including A*s in Additional Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics, followed by As in Mathematics and Biology at A-Level. Throughout my secondary education, I developed effective learning strategies — including concept mapping, tailored notes, and self-made mock papers — which not only enhanced my own performance but have proven successful for the students I tutor. I am passionate about passing on these techniques to help students unlock their full potential and secure top results.

I also have extensive experience working with students across IGCSE, IB, and A-Level curricula in various subjects, consistently helping learners to strengthen core concepts, improve exam techniques, and build academic confidence. Typically, my lessons are held once or twice a week and are structured to include concept breakdowns, interactive quizzes, practical exercises, and personalised homework assignments to reinforce learning.
