Jiayuan Zhang

Hello! I’m Jiayuan, an English tutor based in Glasgow with a Master’s degree in TESOL from the University of Glasgow. I have experience teaching English to children and adults, both in schools and online. My goal is to help every student feel confident using English in real-life situations.

In my lessons, I focus on communication, fluency, and confidence-building through practical, enjoyable activities. I use real-life topics, games, role-plays, and conversations to make learning engaging and meaningful. Each lesson is fully personalised to your goals—whether you want to improve everyday communication, prepare for exams, or strengthen grammar and vocabulary.

I believe that learning should be enjoyable and stress-free. I create a positive, supportive environment where you can speak freely, make mistakes, and learn from them. My teaching style is friendly and encouraging, and I always adapt to your pace and preferred learning style.

In addition to my English teaching experience, I am also fluent in Mandarin Chinese, which can be helpful for learners who speak Chinese as their first language.
