I am a year 1 applied medical science student at UCL. I can do all boards of GCSE maths. I have experience in tutoring students in maths up to GCSE level. For explanations I like to use diagrams and images to show mechanisms, as I find that really useful in teaching. Instead of me talking all the way through, I would ask what the student knew at the start of the lesson. I usually ask students the topics they want to do beforehand in order to start the lesson more smoothly. I tend to not give students homework, as they already have tonnes of schoolwork to do, but if they still feel a bit unsure of what we have learnt after the lesson, I am very happy to set them some work for revision.
