I am an experienced architect and university design tutor based in London, with professional experience working across four leading AJ100 practices. Having tutored design studio and environment & tech modules at university level, I understand first-hand the challenges students face when developing conceptual work, interpreting ambiguous briefs, and translating complex spatial ideas into coherent architectural drawings and models.

My lessons are run as focused, one-to-one design tutorials and portfolio reviews. Sessions are highly collaborative, structured around your specific university brief, application requirements, or personal learning goals. Rather than generic instruction, we’ll work through your active projects to untangle design problems, develop clear conceptual arguments, and refine drawing craft.
A typical lesson format includes:
Concept & Brief Deconstruction: Clarifying the narrative spine of your project, developing spatial research, and building a structured design roadmap.
Critique & Visual Communication: Reviewing plans, sections, axonometrics, and diagrams to elevate visual clarity, graphic hierarchy, and presentation standards.
Portfolio Curation & Applications: Structuring undergraduate, postgraduate, or professional employment portfolios to showcase your strengths clearly to university panels and practice recruiters.
Software & Digital Craft: Practical guidance on workflow, 2D drafting standards, 3D modelling strategies, and post-production layout.
Whether you are an A-level or foundation student preparing your first architecture school application, an undergraduate navigating mid-term crits, or a graduate assembling a job portfolio, my focus is on providing constructive, actionable feedback in a supportive environment. Every session concludes with clear, concrete action items so you know exactly what to develop before your next review or deadline. Please feel free to get in touch to discuss your goals and how we can work together.
