My style of teaching is very rewarding; I want you or your child to not just learn the subject material, but to build necessary life-skills such as critical thought and problem solving. On top of which, my goal is to make you or your child an effective student by learning which study strategies work best for them in a variety of contexts. I believe that learning to encounter and tackle mental challenges is the most important lesson any tutor can teach, and any student can learn. I love bringing a positive, energetic, and curious energy to my lessons, but of course the pacing and energy level will be tailored to your individual needs. Outside of tutoring, I have a background in research in both neuroscience and immunology and I am more than ready with the necessary knowledge and skill set to help with various topics in biology. I can also tutor in other subjects, especially, psychology, physics, chemistry, and maths. I also have a background in music and performance, so if you've got a presentation or working through public-speaking nerves, I can help to ease the nerves and get your point across. From learning concepts, supporting your thought process, to paper writing, test-taking, I can help with many different skills and assignments. I am a tutor with experience in mentorship, guidance, and advising. I have worked and volunteered with children from ages 5-16 and worked with university students to support their academic needs and build confidence. I'm looking forward to our lesson!
