Usually for sessions I like to use some sort of workshop method with practice questions that I can work through with the student, but I am very focused on the needs of the student and if they don’t work this way am more than happy to orient a lesson to suit their needs. I myself am a very creative and interactive person so having a student know that if they need me to adapt my teaching style to fit them is completely okay and doable. I make sure to place the students wellbeing first and if making sure that if they are struggling with a specific area to spend more time on this until they feel comfortable moving on. I have an 8 (A*) in both english language and literature at GCSE and an A in English language at A Level so I am well equipped and experienced to tutor these. However if the student needs extra help with art, drama or history I have also studied these and can add a little extra tutoring to help with these.
