My lessons are highly visual and interactive. I use slides, diagrams, storyboards, and colour-coded annotation exercises to help students engage with texts and develop strong analytical and writing skills. Whether we’re breaking down a complex poem or planning an essay, I guide students through a clear, structured format that makes challenging content feel manageable.
I tailor each session to the student’s needs and learning style. A typical lesson might start with a short visual warm-up activity (like a quote analysis or vocabulary game), followed by focused work on a topic such as essay structure, comparison techniques, or literary devices. I regularly use shared documents and screen-sharing tools so we can edit work together in real time.
I have experience supporting both neurotypical and neurodivergent learners, including students with ADHD and autism. I aim to create a calm, supportive learning space where students feel confident to ask questions, try out ideas, and grow in their own voice.
Above all, my goal is to help students feel equipped and empowered—whether they’re preparing for GCSEs, A levels, or simply aiming to write and read with greater clarity and enjoyment.
