Jess Baker

I graduated from the University of Central Florida with an honours degree in Psychology. I also achieved an A at psychology in my A-Levels. I’m a fun, chatty and supportive tutor who can help to break down the challenging parts of the subject. During my learning, I felt that some topics could feel rushed - this is where its important to break down the fundamentals of the topic, where I can make the learning experience fit the needs of the student. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed or stressed by the amount of workload or complexity of some subjects, so my role is to make sure that you understand and can apply the topics learnt in the classroom, even if that process takes a little longer. Every student is different, so adjusting to whatever your needs are is my priority. I have used multiple forms of revision techniques and I’m comfortable adapting to whatever suits your learning style best. I’m patient and positive - reassuring that the hard work that we put in together will pay off. I know how it feels to manage multiple work load and extra-curricular activities, so managing time and being efficient is a strength of mine. I love the subject of psychology, and want to ensure that the learning experience is not just re-reading textbooks and feeling like you’re falling behind! Creating a supportive and slow environment is my purpose while also maintaining your strengths in the subject. I’m super chill and love to help others :)
