My teaching style is responsive, supportive and encouraging. I like to understand where my student needs help most and to work on strategies to help them develop in these areas.
Using live materials, as well as trusted clips, my eaching aims to be fun and truly engaging.
I love teaching and enjoy fostering this love of language and literature with my students.
With 20 years in the classroom, I have extensive understanding of the GCSE curriculum and its texts. I am well acquainted with many of the literature texts and this gives me the ability to really expand and encourage your understanding.
Language exams require your ability to engage for yourself, I can help you hone those skills and feel ready for anything the examination has for you. Whether it's the reading or the writing section, we can work together to form detailed, solid responses that allow you to access significant moves up through the mark schemes.
