Jenny Poulton

During my lessons, I will work through exam-style problems on a topic or set of topics of a student's choosing. I can be flexible; the topic does not need to be planned in advance. If a student has recent school tests, we can investigate areas of weakness. The student's specific working style will be considered, including learning disability support where necessary. Students are encouraged to trust their intuition; often, in maths and physics, the route through a question becomes clear only after the student has had the confidence to start the questions. I help students identify probable first steps to give them the confidence to make a start and trust the process of solving the puzzle.
