With 20 years’ experience as a fashion buyer and as a practicing artist, I bring a wealth of industry insight, creativity, and real-world perspective to every lesson.
I have two years’ teaching experience delivering courses including A-Level Fashion and Textiles, Access to Higher Education Diploma in Art and Design, and Arts Award programmes, and I am a trained specialist in supporting students with SEND. This combination allows me to provide lessons that are both professional and fully accessible, tailored to individual learning styles and goals.
My lessons are structured, engaging and personalised. I begin by assessing each student’s current skills, interests, and ambitions to design lessons that develop confidence, creativity, and technical ability. Lessons typically include clear explanations, demonstrations, visual examples, practical exercises, and constructive feedback. Students are encouraged to explore ideas independently while learning professional techniques, research methods, and contextual understanding.
Students can focus on fashion design, fashion business (including buyer and marketing), illustration, textile design, garment development, drawing, painting, mixed media, and/or portfolio development. For portfolio-focused students, I guide the full process, from concept development and research to annotation, presentation, and final outcomes.
My approach is supportive and motivating, aiming to help students build a strong personal creative voice while developing skills that prepare them for further study or creative careers.
