Jennifer Albery

I have over 13 years of teaching experience, with the past 6 years as Subject Lead in Art and Design – Textile Design at a highly successful secondary school in central Preston. During this time, my GCSE classes consistently achieved excellent results, including a 100% pass rate and numerous grade 9s.

I am now working as a freelance artist but wish to continue sharing my passion for teaching alongside my practice. I can teach a wide range of artistic skills and techniques, covering many different media and equipment. While my recent focus has been on textile design, my earlier teaching experience centred on fine art and art, craft, and design.

I have worked with students across all secondary year groups, including those with additional needs and neurodiversity (I am neurodivergent myself), as well as with adults looking to develop new creative skills.
