My preferred method of teaching is to address questions from the student in order to ensure that the content is personalized for them. Many students receive their essays or tests from their teachers after marking with corrections of errors that they do not understand. I will go through each concern individually and explain how to identify the error, why it is erroneous and how to correct it.

Professionals need assistance with business documents or contracts and we would be able to address these during the lesson as well.

If the student does not have their own content to review, I will gauge their level by having a conversation and make note of any conversational errors, for example: use of incorrect words and general grammar. I will then address these. As we progress, we will ensure that their improvement is constant and almost immediate.

I will set simple tasks for punctuation and grammar and repeat the process above.

I prefer a more relaxed, conversational approach to teaching, as I have found that students absorb information more easily when they are calm and relaxed. Excessive nerves resulting from a strict, and an overly authoritative tutor do not yield the same results. In addition, the student is not eager to continue lessons if they are uncomfortable with their tutor.

My extroverted personality and love for people, makes the lessons more enjoyable. It is amazing how a simple conversation about where someone lives or works, can result in a highly successful learning opportunity without the student realizing that they have learned something new.
