Jemimah Iqbal

Hello, my name is Jemimah and I am currently studying English Literature and American Studies at the University of Manchester. I offer friendly and supportive tutoring for primary school and GCSE students, with a particular focus on English, reading comprehension, essay writing, revision skills and exam preparation.

My teaching style is patient, encouraging and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt lessons to suit their learning style, pace and goals. Whether a student needs help building confidence, improving grades or preparing for exams, I aim to create a positive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills.

Alongside my studies, I work in a customer-facing role where I communicate with people from a wide range of backgrounds every day. This has helped me develop strong communication, listening and problem-solving skills which I bring into my tutoring. As a current university student, I can also share effective study techniques and revision strategies that helped me succeed at GCSE, A-Level and degree level.

My goal is not only to improve academic performance but also to help students become more confident, independent learners who enjoy making progress.
