Instrumental lessons are individualised to each person as they progress with their instrument, with several different approaches depending on the student. I have access to my violin and piano and so can do practical demonstrations when appropriate Academic tutoring sessions would have more of a predictable structure, especially ABRSM Music Theory, with GCSE and A-Level sessions following the parts of the curriculum that the student wishes to focus on. I have had experience teaching both online and in person and so have a range of techniques to aid students in whatever way benefits them most. Having done GCSEs and A-Levels myself fairly recently, I feel I can effectively support students in their studies. In instrumental lessons, I have many resources I can use and share with the student if this is helpful. I aim to provide interesting and useful learning in any area of music, and I can assist with a wide range of different genres of music. For GCSE and A-Level, I am happy to focus on the history and appraisal portion but can also offer assistance with the composition or performance aspects. I have a lot of essay experience as I am currently studying music at undergraduate level, and I appreciate the longer written question are often the most challenging or worrying part of the GCSE and A-Level course. I can also help with any questions about pursuing music further, to conservatoire, university or college level. For a little more about myself, I am hoping to be an opera singer in the future and participated in my first full opera production this May.
