Jelena Kostic

Hi, there! My name is Jelena and I graduated from the University of Philosophy and Philology. I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in English language and literature and 7 years of working experience. So far I have taught students of all ages, including university students and adults. I taught Business English and Hospitality and Management at one university and was also editing and recording some teaching videos for one educational company. I was also teaching in Asia, which gave me the opportunity to get to know another culture as well.
My areas of interests also include writing. As for the teaching style, it will depend on students' preferences and age. I prefer to use methods that will allow them to speak more if their focus is on communication (debate practices for example). I also like engaging them in additional tasks, like making power point presentations on a certain topic, which is a great way to improve their creativity. Another useful method is to do a research on a certain topic or practice the language in real life situations, then presenting it during the class. My approach is more project-based and student-based, during which students will be more engaged in the process of learning, and I will be more of a guide (this is for higher level students). I like to use a lot of visual materials during my lessons to make them more interesting and prompt their desire for learning even more. For any additional information feel free to contact me :)
