Hi, I like helping people. I have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and lots of experience with group study tutoring sessions. I approach each session individually, assessing the needs and abilities of each student, including how they’re feeling on the day. Learning is only as effective when it’s properly received! If skills are low but motivation is high, they need guidance and structure, if skills are steady but motivation is low, they need support, confirmation, and encouragement.
Once it comes to the learning part, I like to set a loose agenda for the session: start with review of content, confirmation of requirements and outcomes, and then get to work on execution with tap in support as needed. Then we review, we discuss the answers and comprehension, assess the harder parts and the incorrect parts with corrections, and build a list of topics to review.
I lean heavily on practice questions and past test papers, emphasizing question structure, perspectives, and test methodology to master not only the content, but the confidence, to succeed!
