My lessons are structured, supportive, and focused on building real understanding as well as exam confidence. I usually start by identifying what the student is currently covering in school and any areas they find challenging. From there, I create a clear plan so each lesson has a specific goal, whether that is mastering a topic like algebra or improving exam technique.

A typical lesson begins with a quick recap of previous material to reinforce learning. I then introduce or revisit the main topic, breaking it down step by step and explaining the reasoning behind each method. I like to work through examples together first, then gradually let the student attempt questions independently while I guide and correct where needed. This helps build confidence and ensures they are not just memorising processes but actually understanding them.

As an Economics university student with a strong A Level Maths background, I use maths regularly in areas such as statistics and data analysis, so I am comfortable explaining both the practical and theoretical sides of topics. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique, practising past paper questions, showing how marks are awarded, and teaching students how to structure their answers clearly.

My approach is patient and adaptable. Whether a student needs to strengthen core skills to secure a pass or is aiming for higher grades, I tailor lessons to their level and pace, creating a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions.
