Whether the student wants help with their English speaking or writing, I like to read, or listen to the student communicating with me. And then I can help them to structure their sentences in a way that it will be easier for other English speakers to understand. So if a student needs help with their college or university course work, then I'm sure that I can help them to write their own words in a more natural way for English speakers to grasp. But obviously I can't do written assignments for the students. My teaching style is very relaxed and informal, aiming to put the student at ease, to take the pressure off them, in the hope that the student can learn more, and to remember more of the techniques when they aren't feeling stressed. The student is in charge of what direction the classes go, so whatever they want to study I want to be able to help them to gain confidence in their English so that they can pursue their dream.
