Teaching accounting has been always difficult for teachers and I have tried using different means in order to make my plans interesting. I use cases, news articles, quiz platforms and videos in order to deliver the content and familiarize students with the legal requirements of the course. I do believe in giving the students the time and space to explore the concept or the calculation on their own in order to develop the habit of studying Accountancy and accepting it as a fun course.
During covid, when the entire education system was forced to go online, we took the help of platforms like in order to make lectures interesting and revise the previous discussed concepts in game mode. Taking examples of the biggest hits and misses by companies with regards to accounting practices is yet another way of understanding the regulations of central agencies.
Financial Accounting and Accounting for Managers have been my all time favorite courses.
