I am very clear about the way I structure my lessons. My main goal is for students to feel confident in what they are learning, and to help fill in any gaps in understanding or topics they may struggle with. Therefore, after each lesson, my PowerPoint will be tailored to areas the student wishes to focus on, as well as areas I see that may require more work or are necessary to ensure their foundational understanding is strong. For English literature, we will view texts, analyse them and look at exam questions to check their level of understanding. I will also provide homework to critically engage students between sessions.

I always give my students time at the beginning and end of the lessons to talk about concerns or any sort of issue that they are facing.
