I specialise in supporting secondary school students in mathematics, helping them build confidence, close knowledge gaps, and improve exam performance. My teaching approach is structured and practical, developed through both tutoring experience and a professional background in managing teams and delivering complex projects where clear communication and problem solving are essential.

My lessons follow a simple three stage approach: Assess, Identify, Improve.

First, I assess the student’s current level through targeted questions and short diagnostic exercises. This helps me understand exactly where they are struggling and what concepts may have been missed earlier in their learning.

Next, I identify the specific gaps that are preventing progress. Many students find maths difficult not because they lack ability, but because small foundational concepts were never fully understood.

Finally, we focus on improvement through structured practice, worked examples, and exam style questions. I break complex topics into clear steps so students can understand the reasoning behind each method rather than simply memorising formulas.

My management experience means I am organised, patient, and able to adapt explanations to different learning styles. I place a strong emphasis on logical thinking, clear problem solving processes, and building independent confidence in maths.

The goal is not only to improve grades in tests and GCSE preparation, but also to help students develop the mindset and skills needed to approach challenging maths problems with confidence.
