Maths can feel confusing, frustrating, and sometimes just impossible. I specialise in helping secondary school students who feel stuck, have lost confidence, or think they’re “just not good at maths”.

My aim is simple. Make maths clearer, build confidence, and help students improve their exam results without stress.

I use a straightforward three step approach: Assess, Identify, Improve.

Assess
First, I find out where things started to become difficult. This isn’t a test. It’s just a few quick questions and exercises so I can see what you already understand and what’s getting in the way.

Identify
Most students struggle because of small gaps that were missed earlier. Maybe fractions never quite clicked, or algebra feels confusing. Once we spot those gaps, maths starts to make much more sense.

Improve
Then we work through topics step by step. I explain things in a clear, practical way, using worked examples and exam style questions. The focus is on understanding why something works, not just memorising formulas.

Lessons are calm, supportive, and paced to suit each student. You can ask as many questions as you like, and we keep going until it clicks. No pressure, no rushing.

The goal isn’t just better grades, although that usually follows. It’s helping students feel more confident, think logically, and approach maths problems without panic.
