I'm currently studying Mechanical Engineering at Aston University, so Physics and Maths are a big part of what I do every day. I've also previously worked as a paid private tutor through my sixth form, which gave me experience explaining topics in a way that makes sense to different students.

My lessons would be relaxed and focused around what you actually need help with. I'd usually start by finding out which topics you're struggling with, go through the ideas behind them and then work through questions together. I don't like the idea of just memorising an equation and hoping for the best – I think Physics becomes much easier once you understand what's actually happening and why an equation works.

I'm happy to help with understanding difficult topics, homework, calculations and exam questions, as well as going through past papers and exam technique. If something doesn't make sense the first time, that's completely fine – I'll try explaining it in a different way rather than just repeating the same explanation.

As someone who's been through GCSE and A-Level Physics myself and now uses a lot of it within my engineering degree, I understand both the academic side and what it's actually like to be the student trying to learn it.
