Janelle Hawthorne-Ubaka

Hi, my name is Janelle, I'm 23 years old and from London, England! I have over two years of tutoring experience, teaching from KS1 to GCSE in English language and creative writing and I also teach English language to foreign students.
I am passionate about learning, and pride myself on creating tailored, unique lessons that students can thrive in.
I have over two years of tutoring experience tutoring peers during my time in University, and upon graduating I currently work as an outreach tutor, tutoring children at GCSE level in English language, literature and Maths. I also work with foreign students hoping to further their English language skills through ESL learning.
My teaching style focuses on building confidence and skills step by step, to ensure that students can develop their understanding thoroughly. My lesson plans follow a conscientious methodology, shaped around the specific needs and areas for development for each of my students. My lessons are structured in a way that focuses on strengthening the foundations for learning within the given subject, and I use a targeted approach that hones in on the key areas of development for each student.
As well as this, I am a conversational, warm person and I am able to create a comforting environment that will foster your development and ensure you excel in your goals.
