I have extensive experience teaching maths online, where I’ve supported students from secondary school through to exam preparation. I make use of interactive tools via iPad and Microsoft Teams to clearly model concepts and display mathematical diagrams and representations. I have access to plenty of resources to ensure lessons are tailored to the student, engaging and easy to follow. My online sessions are structured in the same way as classroom lessons, beginning with a Starter/Do Now task, and I Do, We Do, You Do cycles. Students get the opportunity to practice concepts independently and see the structure of exam questions for the topic we are working on. My teaching is focused on the conceptual understanding of mathematics with an emphasis on building understanding and confidence. I also provide feedback and strategies to help students progress independently outside of lessons, in terms of exam practice and revision techniques. A lesson report is always created to keep track of students progress.
