I am excited to join FindTutors as a private Maths Tutor and help students enjoy studying Maths and improve their grades.

As an international student who has grown up in international schools, the multicultural environment and my mixed heritage often grant me the opportunity to connect with students over shared experiences, regardless of their background. This often makes understanding other students’ perspectives easier, as well as potential mental blocks.

Before starting at my current university, I did remote one-on-one maths tutoring while studying a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. The student's understanding is my top priority, so I will always offer a free first lesson to get to know the student better. This first lesson will always be a relaxed session for introductions, taking note of the student's hobbies and identifying potential applications of maths that already exist in their areas of interest.

Following the first session, future sessions will depend on the current ability and needs of the student. For students who want to substantially improve their grades over a long time period, I will focus on solidifying their understanding of the fundamentals before covering each topic one by one. For students who may already be excelling in their academics and just need help with one or two topics, I will compile past paper-style question banks tailored around their weakest areas and their current capability.

I aim for two-hour sessions but may extend or shorten sessions if an agreement is made between me, the student and their parent or guardian. Prices will be adjusted to reflect any time adjustments.
