My lessons consist of going through the content with the student and taking multiple approaches to concepts they perhaps cannot understand. In doing so, the student will be able feel more confident in their ability which will allow them to excel at the subject as anyone who works hard enough can do so. The student will be presented with multiple questions from their exam board in that subject and i will help them to understand and guide them through it.

I encourage the use of different memorisation techniques when revising this content as GCSE or A Level are both extremely content heavy. Flash cards to anagrams to the most efficient forms of repetition is what i intend to use and go through with the student to help them understand and do well. GCSE Biology is more memorisation than the ability to grasp scientific ideas and this is why i take this approach. Memorising and implementing things like aerobic and anaerobic respiration and the concepts involved in an experiment is something nearly anyone can grasp with the right techniques.

Biology also requires the memory of the structure of different cells and what they do along with the operations of the human body with things like where different hormones are produced. I intend to make this type of content more enjoyable since Biology branches out to all of nature and not constricted to certain elements. I can also help the student understand and manage the exam stress that they might be worried about since i was a former student not too long ago and I can relate to the student on that personal level.
