James Crawford-Clark

My name is James. I’ve been teaching English on and off since 2012 and I am university graduated with a Ba/Hons in English and Film Studies (I also have a big passion for films and try to watch as many as I can in my free time). I also have a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.

My lessons will be interactive and engaging with plenty of practice of the skills required to improve your English, whether that be your spoken English, Reading comprehension or practicing different types of writing such as essays, reviews, emails, letters or reports. I can also provide homework and links to additional practice that you can utilise outside of session times.

I am flexible as to how I teach: if you wish to have a 1 hour session, that’s fine. If you would prefer a 90-minute session, this is also fine as it allows us to cover more material. I am happy to travel out to you to teach (I live in Yeovil, Somerset so close proximity to this would be beneficial). Alternatively, you could come to me for face-to-face teaching, or perhaps the easiest option is online tutoring.

As well as ESOL teaching from Beginner to Advanced levels, I have background in teaching GCSE English Language.

If you are needing help to prepare for English examinations (in ESOL or GCSE English language) I can also assist with this.

Our first session would be a meet and greet for us to find out a little more about each other and for me to assess your current knowledge. After this, I can tailor our sessions to suit your needs.
