About me

Having completed both GCSE and A-Level Maths (8 and A* predicted respectively), I am deeply engrossed by the various methods learnt at different levels to solve one problem. Whilst Maths is objective, it doesn't mean there is only one method to reach the objective answer. The freedom to explore these methods is what makes me passionate about Maths.

My experience with Imperial's Online Maths Programme allowed me to explore the roots of mathematical thinking. Being professionally mentored, I completed 2 MOOCs led by one of the top mathematicians in the country. In addition, I attended two masterclasses which illustrated several solutions for challenging topics including proof and trigonometry. This experience enhanced my ability in A-Level maths and undoubtedly aided me in achieving my success.

In addition, I have pursued this passion for Maths through teaching others. Throughout Year 12 and 13, I tutored a student A-Level Maths, adapting my teaching skills and timetable to ensure they understand and absorb as much information in order to succeed in their exams. I was able to combat their problems in a multitude of ways whilst aiding them to think in ways to solve their own problems, such as breaking down problems into smaller ones and trying every possibility. This resulted in more independence for my student as well as success.
