I’m patient and I listen carefully to what my students tell me they need the most support with. I then tailor my lessons through modelled answers, assessment of curated answers and collaborative learning before moving onto individual responses. Each stage is focused around building confidence and understanding. Anything my students don’t understand is down to my delivery so I give opportunities throughout the lessons for clarification and check their understanding.

Timely feedback is essential and vital to building resilience in learning. I aim to teach all my students to their level and then beyond that. They all have the potential to exceed expectations and in my teaching career, this has happened consistently.

As a teacher, I am considerate and respectful of my students needs. As a person, I am thoughtful and measured in my responses so my student feels safe and comfortable in their interactions with me.
