Jahan Hussain

I'm a passionate and experienced A-Level Psychology tutor with a strong academic background and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science from King's College London and the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. I also have experience teaching Psychology in a college setting, giving me an in-depth understanding of the A-Level curriculum, effective teaching strategies, and what examiners are looking for.

My lessons are carefully tailored to each student's individual needs, whether you're aiming to improve your confidence, strengthen your understanding of difficult topics, or achieve top grades. I teach using engaging, visually appealing PowerPoint presentations that simplify complex psychological theories and studies into easy-to-understand concepts. Throughout every lesson, I use regular questioning and discussion to check understanding, encourage critical thinking, and ensure students remain actively involved in their learning.

A strong focus of my teaching is exam success. Students regularly practise exam-style questions, learn how to structure high-mark essays, apply psychological knowledge effectively, and develop the evaluation skills needed to maximise marks. I provide detailed feedback and tailored guidance to help students continuously improve their exam technique.
I offer support across all major A-Level Psychology topics, including social influence, memory, attachment, psychopathology, biopsychology, research methods, approaches, issues and debates, and more.
