I will be focusing on exam technique focusing on any topic across all UK exam boards across from gcse's standard to a-levels in mathematics .
Prior to any lesson I would need the exam board you are taking and the level i.e. gcse's ( foundation or higher) I would also need your current grade and the grade that you want to achieve in your exams. This will allow me to deliver lesson to the standard of difficulty where you feel challenged and progress on your mathematical journey.
Going through topics that are difficult to a student at it is important to target these questions to ensure that as many marks can be picked up as possible on the paper as we as provide assurance and clarity for any questions a student may have.
Given an lesson of an hour I would typically start off with a few generic questions that are at a comfortable for a student this is to act as a refresher to the student as these can be common question and then I would spend the next 45 minutes targeting topics that are commonly difficult focusing on exam technique and strategy for these questions. Then for the final 5 minutes i would review the lesson answering any questions that may be had from a student.
