Jack Smith

Hi everyone!
My name is Jack, or Mr Jack as my students usually call me! I'm a happy and kind teacher who enjoys helping others grow their confidence and make improvements to their English and maths skills. I am also a very patient tutor who knows how to get the best from my students.
I have been a teacher for over 10 years now, working both in the UK and internationally. Having experience with a broad range of curriculums (UK, IB, IPC and Cambridge), and seeing first-hand what types of lessons my students respond best to, I believe that teaching needs to be fun, engaging and personal in order to captivate the imagination of young learners.
With this in mind, I make sure that my lessons are personal to the interests of my students and I also aim to develop a good relationship with the student's parents and teachers to keep myself fully aware of areas to develop and current topics in the classroom.
I worked for 2-years online throughout the lockdown period as a classroom teacher in Mexico, and this experience helped to improve my skills as an online tutor. I believe that online tuition is extremely beneficial for students who are able to fit in lessons around their busy schedules.
