Jack Broughton

My name is Jack, my main aim as a tutor is to unlock the potential in students and to help them work with me to gain the confidence they need to flourish in an academic environment.

I am a student at university studying English and film, with 3 A-Levels in History, Spanish and English Literature and Language. Lessons can be personalised to focus on areas of development requested by the student or can have a more general focus on grammar and exam technique, as well as analysing of texts. The pace of the lessons will be tailored to each student to help create a comfortable work environment to ensure that they can get the most out of lessons. Lessons will be taught on PowerPoint through a shared screen via Zoom, that will include exercises and basic information needed to ensure that what is being taught is actively engaging the student whilst proving them with information to study further in their own time if desired. I have 2 years of linguistic teaching experience, with 10 GCSEs (3 Grade A*s in English, Spanish and History). At A-Level I achieved two grade Bs in English and Spanish and achieved a grade A in History.
