Lessons
I plan my lessons to be fun, interactive and tailored to each students needs. I start each lesson by checking in on the student's goals and progress. This helps us stay focused on areas requiring the most help. Lessons typically follow a clear structure; a quick recap of previous material, an introduction to new content, guided explanation and practice with plenty of examples, and time for independent problem solving either my support.

I put a lot of emphasis ob making learning a safe and welcoming process for students to ask questions and trial new ideas. I am patient, clear, and adaptable. I change the pace of the lesson based on the students understanding and I break down complex topics into smaller more understandable steps. I utilise interactive tools like whiteboards, visual aids and practice papers to keep sessions interesting and lively.

Not only do I want to help students develop subject knowledge, but also help their confidence, independence and study habits. I want my students to feel like they are making real progress, so I encourage them to think critically, participate actively, and reflect. At the end of each session there is a brief review and clear next steps to make sure progress is always being made.
