Ivan L.

Hello! I'm Ivan, a personal tutor with more than 7 years of tutoring experience, offering tailored, 1-to-1 classes for A-Level and GCSE students. I hold a Master's degree in Geography from the University of Cambridge. I am familiar with all syllabus requirements (Edexcel, AQA, OCR and CIE) for Geography, and will patiently help you achieve better grades!

My teaching approach is patient, detail-oriented, and focused on real-life applications. I take the time to ensure students understand the material thoroughly, offering clear explanations and connecting concepts to practical scenarios to highlight their relevance. I’m committed to providing constructive, specific feedback that helps students identify areas for improvement, empowering them to grow and gain confidence in their learning. I scored A* in my A-Levels and a 9 in my GCSEs, so I know exactly what it takes to achieve a good grade in standardised exams; my unique mix of answering techniques, time management and essay evaluation are sure to help you achieve the best grades you can!

Beyond this, I always strive to develop confident students who can handle a subject with self-assurance, and focus on helping students overcome any mental or academic obstacles they may face in their preparation for exams.

Having specialised in Geography, I am seeking to help others with their academic struggles. I provide a clear schedule for lesson delivery and come prepared with my own arsenal of resources, notes, cheat sheets and exam papers to help you practise. I will patiently guide you to attain a better academic standard.
