My painting lessons are designed to be relaxed, inspiring, and full of creative energy. I aim to create a welcoming space where students of all levels feel supported and free to explore their artistic voice.
Each session is tailored to the individual — whether you're picking up a brush for the first time or looking to develop existing skills. I combine structured guidance with space for self-expression, using a blend of self-taught techniques and degree-informed practices from my BA in Fine Art.
Lessons typically begin with a short warm-up or technique demo (like colour mixing, brushwork, or composition), followed by a longer painting session focused on a specific subject, style, or personal project. I encourage experimentation and creative risk-taking, offering guidance and feedback along the way, while always keeping the mood light and encouraging.
We might work from observation, imagination, or reference photos, depending on your goals. I teach with acrylics, oils, mixed media, and more, and I love incorporating creative exercises that help unlock confidence and flow.
Above all, I believe painting should be enjoyable and empowering — a way to connect with yourself, unwind, and grow. My goal is to help each student tap into their unique creative potential while building real skills they can carry forward with joy.
