My maths lessons are friendly, supportive, and focused on helping students truly understand what they are learning. I start by getting to know the student’s current level, their exam board, and the topics they find most challenging. From there, I plan lessons that are clear and well-structured, while staying flexible so we can move at a pace that suits the student. I explain concepts step by step and make sure everything makes sense before moving on.

My academic background is in the IB and IGCSE exam boards, so I understand the syllabus, exam style, and common difficulties students face. I am now studying Chemical Engineering at UCL, where I take maths and mathematical modelling as part of my degree. Using maths regularly at university has strengthened my problem-solving skills and helped me see how maths works in real-life situations, which I bring into my lessons whenever possible.

I also have experience in peer tutoring and supporting underprivileged children, which has taught me how to be patient, encouraging, and adaptable. Every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style to match their needs. In lessons, we work through examples together, practise exam-style questions, and review mistakes so students can learn from them without feeling pressured or judged.

I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. My goal is not just to improve grades, but to help students feel more confident, independent, and positive about maths in the long term.
And just to end on a lighter note — why did the maths book look sad? Because it had too many problems
