My lessons are friendly, interactive and tailored to each student’s level, interests and personal goals. I aim to create a relaxed environment in which students feel comfortable speaking, asking questions and making mistakes, as these are all essential parts of learning a language.

I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and currently study English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford. This background has given me a strong knowledge of written and spoken English, as well as training in lesson planning, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and the development of reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

I am particularly inspired by Mihalis Eleftheriou’s Thinking Method approach to language learning. Rather than asking students simply to memorise long lists of rules or vocabulary, I encourage them to think critically about how English works, notice recurring patterns and use what they already know to form new sentences. Lessons therefore include guided questions, practical examples and plenty of active speaking. My aim is to help students understand the logic behind the language and become increasingly able to work things out independently.

The content and pace of each lesson will depend on the individual learner. We might focus on conversational English, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing or preparation for a particular real-life situation. I will provide clear explanations, constructive feedback and activities that allow students to apply new knowledge immediately.

As a French learner myself, I understand that progress requires patience, regular practice and confidence. I want my students not only to improve their English, but also to become more independent, curious and confident language learners.
