My lessons are interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual goals. A typical session involves completing a section of writing before analysing it together in detail through live marking and discussion. I provide immediate, constructive feedback and work collaboratively with students to identify strengths, areas for improvement, and practical ways to raise their marks. I regularly use real examples of top-grade responses so students can see exactly what examiners reward and learn how to apply those techniques in their own work. Lessons can focus on essay writing practice, exam preparation, memorising quotations and key knowledge, improving analysis, or refining exam technique depending on the student’s needs. I offer lessons online via Zoom or any preferred meeting platform, and I am also available for in-person tutoring where suitable.

Having achieved a Grade 8 at GCSE English Literature and an A* at A Level English Literature, I have a strong understanding of what is required to succeed at both levels. My studies included a wide range of texts, including Macbeth, Othello, Wuthering Heights, A Thousand Splendid Suns, the poetry of Christina Rossetti and other anthology poets, An Inspector Calls, and A Streetcar Named Desire. Through my academic success and experience supporting students, I am able to break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps while helping students develop confidence in their own interpretations. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to help students become more independent, analytical, and confident writers who understand exactly how to meet the assessment objectives and achieve their full potential.
