Hello! My name is Isadora, and I am an experienced English tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience in London and Geneva. I teach children, teenagers, and adults, tailoring every lesson to the individual student's learning style, goals, and interests.
My lessons are designed to be engaging, creative, and memorable. Rather than relying solely on worksheets and repetition, I incorporate art, music, storytelling, games, and themed activities to help students develop confidence and retain information naturally.
For younger learners, I often use creative exercises such as transforming numbers and letters into animals or characters through drawing and colouring. This visual and hands-on approach helps children create stronger associations with new concepts, making learning more enjoyable and easier to remember.
Music also plays an important role in my teaching. Depending on the lesson theme, we may learn songs related to animals, nature, daily routines, emotions, or other vocabulary topics. From nursery rhymes to age-appropriate contemporary songs, music helps improve pronunciation, listening skills, vocabulary retention, rhythm, and confidence in speaking English.
Each lesson is built around a central theme. Topics may include:
• Numbers and mathematics
• Letters and phonics
• Animals and nature
• The environment and sustainability
• Jobs and professions
• Countries and cultures
• Food and healthy living
• Seasons and weather
• Creative storytelling and imagination
These themes allow students to learn vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills within a meaningful context. Activities often include drawing, crafts, discussions, games, songs, and creative projects to keep learning interactive and enjoyable.
My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, expressing themselves, and developing confidence at their own pace. Whether you are looking for support with school studies, conversational English, language development, or creative learning for younger children, I would be delighted to help.
