Hi! I’m Isabella, I love all things theology and philosophy. I have been tutoring GCSE English literature for a year but I also have a range of experience in different subjects - From English literature, philosophy, and History. I received grades 9 in both English literature and Language.

I am familiar with a wide range of exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, WJEC and OCR and have both the knowledge and resources to create engaging fun lessons!

Each lesson is tailored to student needs, I like to use starter exercises to recap the previous lesson to make sure knowledge is solidified and easily retrievable.

In the past, I asked students to create a list of particular topics they were unsure about and we can then measure progress. I always make sure that the student is feeling confident overall as I know what it’s like to feel scared or adverse to a topic or subject! I believe that being meticulous allows the students to thrive and feel more comfortable and motivated when it comes to their actual exams. Working on exam technique and essay writing is one of the most challenging aspects of the exams but once you’ve nailed it, the confidence follows; though it can feel tedious the award at the end is amazing.

I like to ask the questions and I find that engagement and knowing the topic like the back of your hand and that you are confident to debate on or discuss is vital for the exams!
