Isaac Marsden

Hi, I’m Isaac. I am an undergraduate student at the University Of York studying Physics with Astrophysics (MPhys). While I am passionate about Physics, I have a keen interest in any mathematics-based subjects, and I’m more than willing to tutor anyone wanting to improve not only their Grade, but their ability to think logically and mathematically in all related subjects.
As a student myself, teaching is a skill I’ve not yet had the opportunity to exercise – therefore not only will this be a lesson for a GCSE level student, but it will also be crucial in developing my own skill set. Fortunately, I have had a several experiences throughout my previous college education that will help in tutoring such as presenting my own paper and research to a group of students and teachers alike as part of my Extended Project Qualification. Similarly, having siblings at GCSE level, I have had the opportunity to teach one to one, while also keeping my knowledge of the subject refreshed. I intend to replicate these strategies in tutoring, offering a student led approach, where I can personalise teaching to individual needs and requirements, and topics that the student may want to cover at that time, as well as offering resource advice for independent revision.
